Thx for the suggestion about Ctrl+Alt+Delete right after the "Starting Windows" shows on the screen! The option I was able to use was System recover. After the first try it did not work (a message appeared saying my system can't be restored), but I persisted and opted for System restore again. The same message appeared but right after that the system restarted, then repeated the process of saying "Windows is updating your files" and restarting and then my system was back to the point before updating Win 7 and working perfectly. Thank you again for the advice.
