I had received an offer for a job I really wanted to do. Unfortunately the salary was way to low for me to support my charges. I was about to decline when I had an idea. I went to buy a lottery ticket. If I could make more than 1 or 2 years of salary difference with the Lotto, I would take the job.
I didn't win. I declined.
A few weeks later I found another job. Better paid. It had to be that way, I suppose.
